Terms and conditions

1. Customer agree not to use, nor to let others use the vehicle for transportation of persons or property, for hire, in races, or public or private contest, or by any person who was given to Menorca on Wheels a fictitious name, false age or address, or in violations of applicable laws, regulations or ordinances to propel or tow any vehicle or trailer. No person, including Customers, shall operate or drive the vehicle unless such person has a qualified drivers license. The foregoing restrictions are cumulative and each of them shall apply to every use, operation or driving vehicle. Customer assumes full responsibility for any fine, penalty or damage arising out of the infringement of the provisions in this clause.
2. Customer assumes full responsibility for any violations of traffic or parking regulations committed during the term of this agreement.
3. It is expressly agreed that MoW assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to any property left, stored or that the lessee or any other person leaves, stores or transport in the vehicle either during the rental or after the end of it. The lessee assumes the risk of such losses or damages, exempts MoW from any claim for them and undertakes to keep MoW free and undamaged from any claim arising from that cause.
4. The hirer is responsible for any damage to the interiors of the vehicle, windows, wheel breakage, lower parts, lost or damaged keys, expenses caused by improper refuelling.
5. MoW assumes no responsibility for any delays that may arise out of breakdown in the vehicle or any other causes.
6. Collision Damage insurance is null and void if the hirer allows any person other than those person stated on the contract to use the car without first having obtained permission from MoW.
7. The vehicle is covered by an Insurance Policy which provides unlimited coverage against third-party liability of the vehicle, the Customer being assured under Said policy agrees to comply with all the terms and conditions thereof and therefore agrees to report immediately any accident to the insurer or to MoW.
8. In the event of an accident caused, by the hirer whilst under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs (legal or ilegal), the insurance will be limited to third party civil and criminal cover, with all costs of repairing the vehicle been the responsibility of the hirer as well as all costs of any legal proceedings.
9. Collision Damage waiver is null and void if Customers carries more than agreed numbers of passengers as stated on contract.
10. Should any difference arise in connection with this Agreement, both parties hereby submit themselves to the judges and Courts of Mahon waiving hereby any right the may have to resort to any other jurisdiction.
11. Our fuel policy is full/full. Car is delivered full of petrol, and you must return it full. If you prefer other way please ask us.
12. The minimum driver age is 25 years, driver’s license with a length of more than 2 years.
13. Note: If the return time is later than the collection time, E.G. Collection at 09:30 Return at 19:00. Part of a days hire may be charged. If this is the case you will be informed before you make the booking.
14. All our cars come with fully comprehensive insurance with no excess included. Please note: Insurance does not included damage to tyres and wheel rims, damage to underside of car.
15. Images are for example only, the vehicle you receive may differ in appearance but will be of an equal or higher group. While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the calculated cost of your hire car for the period you have chosen, we reserve the right to amend any costs given, displayed or implied, to be in-line with our standard rates at this time. You will be notified of any discrepancies between the price displayed here and our standard rates before you make a reservation for car hire.
